MEET CIERA KRINKE

Founder & Creative Director

Ciera Krinke is a force of creative, resourceful entrepreneurial energy.

Bringing 10+ years of direct website design experience and a multi-faceted skillset, she has earned a reputation for putting her clients’ needs first — consistently delivering smart, elegant results with a clear strategy and thoughtful communication.

Ciera’s background in business management with multiple successful startups has uniquely equipped her to understand the role a website plays in a company’s operations — creating sites that operate as a productive “employee,” rather than simply sitting in cyberspace, looking pretty. With both earned expertise and intuition, she helps clients dig into their business goals — such as building a brand, increasing profitability, or establishing thought leadership — and then helps plan and create the perfect digital platform to make those goals a reality.

A Squarespace and Shopify platform expert, she leads DBD with an inspired, generous approach to teambuilding and a commitment to exceptional work. Based in Bozeman, MT, her off hours are all about spending time with her husband Tyson, two daughters - Quinn & Elliott, and cat Pete.

The Backstory:
A Look Back at the past 10 years

  • October 2012

    Started a Wordpress blog on a whim to share an enthusiasm for health & wellness

  • November 2012

    Got curious & stayed up until 3am playing with the platform (aka became obsessed with creating something out of pretty much nothing)

  • August 2014

    Started building websites for friends, and before long, was getting paid to do it as a professional

  • December 2017

    Digital Box Designs is founded; rebelling against the status quo of making web design as complicated as possible and zero’ing in on the greater ecosystem of a person’s business operations and flow

  • December 2022

    DBD gets a refreshed look & feel of our own, further pursuing our goal to create elegant & effective websites in a timely manner, while bringing a sense of calm & renewed confidence to each client

Communication is key to seamless collaborations.

We lean towards over-communication. You shouldn’t ever need to email us asking the status of your project. From the get-go, we ensure you know exactly what to expect and eliminate surprises - unless they’re good surprises! We work hard to anticipate your needs, questions, and any potential project delays.

Structure should leave room for flexibility.

While a clear plan is established from the start, we’re able to flex with your needs. If a particular element is slowing down the process — for example, getting team bios for the About page - we may recommended scrapping that section and suggesting something just as impactful. When the plan changes, we pivot swiftly and keep it as easy on your end as possible.

Your web design team should serve as genuine advocates.

It's our job to hear what your goals are, assess your situation, and then make the best recommendation for you. That means turning down projects if/when we’re not the best fit, not overselling you on tech solutions, and all around determining what you really need - not just what you tell us you need. (We’ve got you!) We’re always looking out for your best interest, earning your trust, and moving toward the best possible outcome.
